The SNES Showcase

My personal collection of SNES games and hardware

More gaming goodies, this time from my SNES collection. SNES titles are not as common secondhand as the NES games, but sometimes you can make some awesome discoveries at thrift shops and flea markets.

Before anyone asks, no I am not selling anything here. If you see something cool here, you can always look for it on Ebay or do what I did, scope out the flea markets and thrift stores.

SNES Mouse & Mousepad
This peripheral was designed for use with the Mario Paint graphics and sound studio game. It was actually my first experience with any sort of mouse. The mouse was primarily used for the drawing applications, but there was also a bug-swatting minigame inside Mario Paint that required fast mousing skills. Like all non-optical mice, the ball and rollers inside needed cleaning from time to time. I don't think the mouse worked with any other games. The "mousepad" was just a plastic surface.

Other Hardware & Peripherals (that I don't own)

Super Scope
This was a bazooka-looking gun attachment for playing certain SNES titles. Yoshi's Safari was the most well-known Super Scope exclusive game. The Super Scope appears in Super Smash Bros. Melee as a ranged attack weapon.
I have a non-functional Super Scope that I purchased as a prop for a Smash Bros. cosplay skit.
