There's ANOTHER Lost Episode?Supposedly there is another Lost Episode out there besides the "Big Three" of Acapulco, Dratini, and Porygon! However, this episode is SO RARE that it's never even been shown in Japan! Let me explain: in December of 1997, the Japanese Pokemon fans saw episode 38, "Electric Soldier Porygon", which contained bright flashing lights alternating red and blue in a scene where Pikachu thundershocks incoming missiles. This pattern caused around 700 Japanese children to have epileptic seizures. As a result, no new episodes were aired between December 16, 1997 and April 16, 1998. The episodes originally planned to air during that time were shown later, with the exception of one. This is the Super Lost Episode that I'm talking about. Originally scheduled to air on December 31, 1997, the episode was called, "Oomisoka da yo! Poketto Monsutaa" which means something like "A Pokemon New Year's Eve". I'm guessing that it was never shown because of the delay; fans wouldn't understand why a New Year's episode was being shown in April. But I wonder if it'll ever see the light of day... maybe it doesn't really exist at all (I only heard it mentioned on one site, several years ago... maybe they were just making the whole thing up!) But it does make you wonder... (Of course, if anyone out there has any info about this, please email me!) BACK to Japanese Exclusives |
