Japanese Symbols can be encountered by perfoming the extended Mew
Trick using a Pokemon with a Special stat of 193. It is reported
that the game will freeze upon encountering this glitch. In other
reports, this Pokemon will turn into Rhydon upon being caught if
the Pokedex is viewed. The Pokemon would need to be caught a second
time to get the glitch. However, it is said that catching Japanese
Symbols will cause graphical glitches, and using it in battle will
freeze the game.
Japanese Symbols evolves into a Spearow at level 9, but it is not
known whether this Spearow behaves as a normal Pokemon or a glitch.
