2007 Sketches - Daily Drawings
The pics below are not refined and complete - they're just basically ideas and concepts. My goal is to do at least one quick sketch every weekday.
I'm very pleased with how some of these turned out. Others - well, at least they're good practice, right?
Some may be finished in Photoshop eventually (like the Nintendo Princess Collection). Some may just stay as sketches.
All these are drawn in pencil and scanned. Some have color - this was added in Photoshop as a separate layer with reduced opacity.
8/24/07: Don't mess with princesses...
Today's SSBB update was a bit disappointing. Do you honestly have to choose one of the two to rescue, when they've both got weaponry of their own?
Peach and Zelda aren't going down without a fight.

Not very happy with how this came out.

You might have seen this lady before... this is my own unique interpretation.
The proportions are definitely off, especially the arms.

I missed a few days of sketches due to a really busy time at work and lack of inspiration.
This is Valentina (AKA Marjorie Margarita), the fashionable villainess from Super Mario RPG.
I always hated her official render art, so I took some creative liberties with the design and made her better looking.
8/13/07: Princess Peach's new gown
This is part artwork, part planning out a costume. I had started a "fancy" version of Peach's newer dress with the dark pink puffs, but it hadn't been finished.
When I saw the video clip from Super Smash Bros. Brawl with Peach in it, I decided to make the dress somewhere between the two versions.
I just hope the official SSBB site releases more Peach pictures soon - there are quite a few creative liberties here because I don't have references!
