Adventures in Engrish - Trip 22-4-2006 - Return to El Paso's Biggest Dollar Store Preeminent Car was still there, along with some new treasures...
The text reads "High Quality High Performance". What kind of performance do you expect to get out of a baby doll? As far as I can tell, there aren't even any moving parts. And if you take a close look, the doll doesn't look very "prettiness" either.
"Simulating the true styles and making carefully All styles are wonderful!"
What exactly is a cooking case, anyway? All we know is that it's "Lovely Nifty"!
How about a game of Finding Almost-Nemo? The text at the bottom right corner of the "Ocean-Toys" fish says: "FUNNY Eat - Supertoys". I don't know, wouldn't that be considered a choking hazard?
The fashiOnably Guitar (with the inexplicably capitalized O) delivers "Dashing Music" for all!
This was a set of tinsel-ended batons, apparently featuring "new surount". Does that have anything to do with "Fast 2 Surmount" cars?
The picture came out a little blurry, but the text on the car reads: "Superior Wagon Police". Love the flashy red color and spoiler on the back.
The package calls this "Super Pedestal Ball", but it looks like a pool table to me... I don't see any balls, either. Notice the text you can read says "Not suitable for children". Then who's supposed to play with this thing?
"Soul-stirring the best welcome gifts for the children Game". This was some kind of motorized spinner toy game, maybe supposed to be a ripoff of a Beyblades-type toy (note the anime-like guy on the package). I don't get the "soul-stirring" aspect... it doesn't look that exciting, honestly.
Action figure set. The text reads "Urgently start off! The hero!" Urgently learn English! The Dollar Store!
The toy is a battery-operated Husky dog. It's cute, but I don't think it's "refinement". This is also "simulating the true styles and making carefully". Does that mean, "bootlegging real toys as closely as we can"?
Super Weapon, the "Force-Weapon". Children are encouraged to "Shoot it! Good".
Featuring "Super Police Appliance"! Do these appliances belong to the Superior Wagon Police?
The purple Matrix has you! In this "Double Gun Arsenal", one gun features "clicker action", the other, "ricochet sound". Both guns feature authentic "Power of Matrix" stickers. Bootlegged artwork of Neo, too! This is my favorite of this current Engrish lot - it's not "Dream of Cracker", but it's certainly close. Related Articles: |
